Antique Collectible

Anyone know where to find collectible or antique appraisals?
I have original circus ads from 1960 for Barnum & Bailey. They are the real deal, and in perfect shape. Artwork is really weird and vintage. Just wondering where I would go to find information on the value these posters would have.
Old Wood Market sells antiques and specializes in vintage furniture. Since the ads are genuine posters and in perfect shape, a twofold approach would be worthwhile. Find out the range of value; whether in the thousands or perhaps several hundred.
For a casual value, closed auctions on eBay is quick and won’t cost anything. the second step is, if the prices you see on eBay are high, a certified appraisal should be done.
the auctioneer should be professionally certified by CAGA: Certified Appraisers Guild of America. Here’s an antique insider’s tip: make sure you contact an appraiser, usually an auctioneer, who is based in an antique house (a fixed building). Most auctioneers sell out estates following a death and other times families when moving/downsizing; these auctions will rarely attract bidders looking for fine and collectible artwork and the price at these auctions are often determined by good/bad weather of people wanting to show up.
If the piece is worth being appraised, the appraisal will start at $100 and up, so that’s why a quick eBay check is a starter. If you hear good news about its’ value, have it insured. The value could increase dramatically because of its’ condition.
good luck – oldwoodmarket
