The US army alpha black tactical, as Tippmann calls it, looks likes the M-16. It is a semi-automatic upgraded version of the alpha black.  It features a six position collapsible stock and built in sights. It is heavy and features an 11″ barrel for accuracy and performance. The magazine holder is removable and doubles up as a tool kit. The alpha black tactical has limited customizability.

Like most Tippmann products, the quick release feeder elbow and the e-trigger system are standard with the Tippmann US Army Sniper Gun Set. Die cast aluminum construction makes it durable and easily serviceable, it includes an in-line bolt mechanism and a stainless steel gas line. The standard kit includes the marker itself, a 20 oz aluminum carbon dioxide tank, the standard 200 round hopper, a mask and a 6+1 harness. 

The long 11″ barrel makes the gun very accurate. The bolt mechanism is in-line type, as in the more advanced 98 custom. The internal mechanism is rugged and can withstand heavy usage or abuse. It is capable of shooting 8 pellets per second in the semi-auto mode. Anti chop technology is absent on this model. It is a basic model and has limited accessories and upgrades.
