Blue Green

How do my parents have green eyes but I have Blue?

I have blue-green eyes. They are mostly blue but towards the center green shoots out. My dad has bright green eyes and my mom has greenish hazel eyes. How is it possible that I have blue when they both have green? I was just curious.

Blue is recessive.
Both of your parents carry the gene, but they don’t express it.
