Parents Quick Guide to Bakugan

Kids are going crazy over a new Japanese Anime game called Bakugan. The story revolves around the lives of Bakugan and the battle brawlers who brandish them. The TV show was shown in Japan and ran for 51 episodes before coming to the U.S. and showing on Cartoon Network beginning in February 2008. Sega has created a game from the series called Bakugan that has metal trading cards and spring loaded action figures. Kids love to play Bakugan and it is a game that parents should not be afraid of their children being interested in as it gives them a way to interact without video games.

The first step in getting started with Bakugan is the purchase of a Bakugan starter pack. This consists of metal trading cards and spring loaded miniature action figures. Specifically you will get 6 Bakugan, 8 magnetic Gate cards and a set of instructions. The starter pack is considered a good deal since buying individual Bakugan would cost far more.

Over time your kid will decide what color they will like the best. The starter pack include Bakugan that come in various colors which represents their attributes. Sub-Terra is brown and represents the Earth. Pyrus is red and represents fire. Aquos represents water and is blue. Ventus represents the air and is green. Haos is white and represents light and last but not least, Darkus is black and represents the darkness.

Over time your kid will choose what their favorite color is and therefore what their favorite Bakugan will be. You will notice which color that your child is more likely to play with. That will allow you be more selective in future purchases of a Bakugan battle pack.

Bakugan is a fantastic game for your kids to get involved with. They will be forced to use skills that will involve strategy and math. Bakugan is a game that parents should actually encourage their kids to play, which will keep them away from sitting in front of the TV playing video games all day.
