A Simple Idea For Candy Bar Wedding Favors

Some may think that candy bars have had their day when it comes to wedding receptions, but they do remain a great way of creating wedding favors that everyone will love.  If you are not familiar with candy bars, they are essentially a collection of candies and confectionary set out in decorative jars, bowls and containers on a table in the reception.  Guests help themselves to what they want by filling little bags with their favourites.

However, many do think that the candy bar concept for receptions has had its day and is one trend that has finished.  But if you need wedding favors with a difference and on a budget, than a candy bar is a great way of combining fun, with favors that your guests will love.

But instead of creating a full candy bar on a separate table, why not create smaller individual versions on each of your tables.  This not only gives your guests a novel way of collecting their favors, but it will also save you money on your centrepieces.  A pretty collection of four or five bottles, jars and bowls filled with your favourite candies, chocolates and confectionary will make an attractive alternative to the more traditional floral arrangements, and you will not have to worry about what to do them at the end of the day!

The various containers and vessels you use to present your candy favors can be anything from pretty glass jars to more rustic baskets and wooden buckets, depending on your theme or style.  Glass and clear containers work well because you will be able to see the contents and the different colors of the candy add a decorative element to your tables.  Choose containers of varying height to add interest and don’t forget little scoops and containers to put the candy in.

You can purchase candy and confectionary in wholesale quantities which will make it much cheaper than buying it from your local grocery store.  Choose your favourites but do make sure there is something for everyone.  From traditional wrapped candies to colourful lollipops there is a candy out there for everyone!  You could even have different candies on each table to encourage your guests to mingle and get goodies from other tables, not just their own!

On a final note choose candies to coordinate with your wedding colors and don’t scrimp on the packaging, make sure they are plenty big enough so your guests can take home wedding favors that will last!
