How do you get a newly bought car home.?
The car is registered but to the owner. Its about 80 miles away. I have aaa but looks like that’l be useless. whats the best way of getting it home.
You call your insurance agent, and give him the VIN # so you have insurance…then you go to the DMV, and purchase a driveaway temporary tag to put in the rear window…go where the car is, get the title from the owner affix your tag, drive it home…
assuming it’s drivable of course… when i bought my hotrod, it was 800 miles away, and had no motor or transmission… i borrowed a friends dually, and 4 wheel car trailer, drove up there and back….
