Gah! iPod Help please!?
Ugh. This first gen iPod has crashed. Its the white one, about an inch thick, scroll wheel (not click wheel), B&W screen, they think its 5 gig. Thus: I think its 1st gen. Might be second, Im not sure it matters.
Anyway, She woke up this mourning, unpluged it, and that iconic iPod frowny face was present. I know its usually hardware issue when this appears, but In this case I dont think that is hugely likely, as this iPod came in in a velvet bag with not a single scratch on the back, much less a dent or such. It wont let me Restore, although I can diskmount it. Syncing or trying to open it will kill finder. (running Os x 10.4)
Ive tryed reseting it to no avail.
As The nearest mac store is a bit of a drive away, Id like to avoid having to go to a mac genius to get this fixed.
Anyone have any ideas?
