A challenge for my metal family?

I am looking for a hardcore metal band.

To be honest there’s some heavy stuff there, in terms of metal you might generally getting more of the same but more so. Nevertheless a lot of the proper metal reccomendations here will suit you, but I’m going to give you some other stuff which isn’t necessarily as heavy but is easily harsher…

Meshuggah – are polyrhythmic, jazzy metal. Very, very heavy, homogenous sound. Possibly the heaviest metal band in the world today. Get: Nothing.

Infest – were a massively influential hardcore/powerviolence band from the later 80′s/early 90′s. Their early demo rcordings (1986) represent some of the harshest music ever. Get: 1986 Demo, Slave.

Kriegstanz – were a Dutch d-beat band with two bassists, two guitarists and three ‘singers.’ Their s/t 10″ EP is, as you can imagine, immensely heavy in a way rarely found in metal.

Crossed Out – will take your skin off at 50 paces. Early 90′s powerviolence. Get the split with Man is the Bastard from http://7inchcrust.blogspot.com/

There is, infact, loads of brutal stuff on here. Not just crust but a lot of grind as well, which you can probably get into if you listen to Cannibal Corpse. Try some of these bands you can find on there:
Nasum, Amebix, Brutal Truth, Napalm Death.

Ildjarn – is distinctly punky black metal that is probably the most hateful music ever recorded. Raw beyond belief and ultra-minimalistic it is difficult, but incredibly harsh and rewarding music. Get: Minnesjord, Forest Poetry, Ildjarn 93. Avoid Landscapes and Harddevinger because it’s ambient keyboard stuff.
