Doll Carriage

I remember a book from grammer school that had of dolls being the main characters. Pot belly stove, carriage
I believe they were victorian dolls. But the story was told with the dolls in fixed positions. The kids seemed to be left in the home alone. Boiling water, tending to a farm?
I’m not sure it’s the book you’re thinking of, but one of my favorite books from childhood was called “Midnight in the Dollhouse.” It was about a tomboy who breaks her hip and is given a set of dolls and a dollhouse from her family to play with while she convalesces. It tells the story from both her perspective and the dolls’. I think it was set in the 1870s.
