Mercedes SLK 230 4cycl 1999 ENGINE GAS PEDAL PROBLEM?

My car start just fine I can change gear and reverse but there seem to be a problem when I hit the gas pedal there is nothing my car can only go 5 miles per hour, I think it might be gas wont pump into the engine? please help I need my car bad thanks.

sound like a pedal acc sensor problem,but first try normalizing the throttle actuator, with the hood open, turn the key on but dont start the car, quickly touch or hold the throttle actuator assembly, where the throttle plate is under hood on engine, after about 60 to 90 seconds you will feel the actuator motor move full open than full closed than you will hear and feel a snap.you are now normalized. if you still have no throttle,it’s problably the pedal sensor, have someone operate the gas pedal and on the left fender near the booster you will see the sensor moving at the end of the pedal cable, test with ohm meter for open sensor you may still need to take car to dealer good luck
