The Jessica McClintock perfume collection was introduced in the market in 1988. The label is one of the popular designers that cater to ready-to-wear bridal gown niche. Whereas in the fragrance arena, it is popularly known as a floral-based fragrance meant for brides to wear on their wedding day. The perfumes are undeniably bursting with white floral bouquet. It has that certain femininity, so captivating, that only brides can carry it with elegance.

The signature fragrance, Jessica McClintock perfume is the classic floral fragrance and very much 80’s to some extent. It’s heavy on the floral accords. It’s flower power in a bottle, so to speak.  At first smell, you will be greeted by a lovely combination of soft flowers blended with deep musk and sandalwood. The contrasting aroma of these essential oils gives the fragrance its sillage prowess. 

Another scent from the collection is the famed Silk Ribbons. Like the name suggests, it’s a quiet floral fragrance with a silky floral finish. It doesn’t announce itself in the crowd rather it possesses a very unique style, a quietly demure fragrance, if you may call it that. The fragrance is a lighter version of the original making it a perfect daily scent.

There’s also a perfume created for men in the McClintock fragrance collection called Scott McClintock. The perfume smells like the original Jessica McClintock with a spicy twist. It’s still the fragrant flowers that fill the air but this time, it’s sprinkled with spices for that strikingly masculine effect.

Jessica McClintock is a teacher by profession. She got her tailoring skills from her seamstress grandmother. She started her own company in California in the year 1969. In the beginning, she designed clothes under the brand Gunne Sax. Soon enough, she established her own fashion line under her name. Thus, began a huge fashion enterprise that specializes in women’s dresses and wedding gowns.
