I dig music. And R&B is some of the best of the best. Want some songs to woo your love and get him or her in the mood? Here’s my Top 5 choices.
1. I Believe I Can Fly by R. Kelly – This song from 1996, was featured in the movie “Space Jam”. A song about life’s trials, finding love, finding yourself, believing that you can do anything you set your mind to, and faith in it all. One of the best inspirational songs of all time as well.
2. Stuck On You by Lionel Richie – This is my personal first pick of all time. I love Lionel Richie. Finding that person you’re stuck to and knowing that you can’t let them go. You will do anything for that person. Your friend, your lover, and your heart.
3. Here And Now by Luther Vandross – A true love song. A man singing to the one he loves and the woman that means the world to him. She is where his happiness lies. He needs her and wants to love her faithfully. “Your love is all I need”. This song was a huge wedding song in the 90′s.
4. End Of The Road by Boyz II Men – A song they wrote in 1992 with co-writer, Babyface. Written for Eddie Murphy’s movie “Boomerang”. A song about love coming to an end and not wanting to let go. She has given up and he has not. His heart cannot break that bond that he has tied to her. It stayed #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 list for 13 weeks.
5. Didn’t We Almost Have It All by Whitney Houston – A song about love lost, but not forgotten. A true respect of love, even after it’s all said and done. Almost having it all, and wanting that back. The ride that was well worth it. Nominated for Song of the Year at the ’88 Grammys.
Now put on a sexy dress ladies. Gentlemen get your game on. Go out there and someone special you love them.
