Best Cute Baby Contests
Let’s start at her feet. Her shoes need to be white with tan or sand colored soles. IDK why, but they do. No panty hose put on dressy socks with ruffles. Make sure you find her a diaper cover. You can get it to match her dress, but a little white satin/ silky one will do just fine. Just in case she stumbles or pulls her dress up, because that’s just how kids are 
As far as makeup, no 2 year old needs foundation, they have perfect complexions. But depending on how the lights are, you might want to take some blush. You probably will need it. And lip gloss is a given. Tinted or not. Whatever you think, I think A lil bit of color is a good thing. If you WANT to do the make up thing, use just enough shadow to contour her eyes, NOTHING SHIMMERY! It just looks gross and weird under lights. Just maybe fawn or tan. Or whatever compliments her dress and eyes. I wouldn’t advise eyeliner on a 2 year old, but maybe just a hint of mascara to make her eyes pop. You don’t have to do cake on. Whatever you would wear for day time should be plenty for a baby face. I think you should wait and see what the other moms in the cute baby contest are doing. Or do what I do, call the director and ask her what she is instructing the judges to look for.
I don’t know how much hair she has. When my daughter was two, she had just enough hair that I would gather the hair at her ears and pull up with just a little height (made by teasing underneath and smoothing the top) and clipping to the side. You know, half up half down. Then I would flip the ends out. And of course add a bow. She has always won prettiest hair. Or you could curl it. Whatever you do, it needs to compliment her face. Some kids look better with their hair in a French twist with curls hanging down. Mine looks best with her hair down
Ok, so about the walk. She is 2. She should do “pretty hands”. Her arms need to be by her side. Straight, with her fingers out and her palms parallel to the ground and fingers together. It is pretty much expected in cute baby contests.
That being said, judges are looking for the total cute baby contest package. Looks, dress, and the most impotant thing, confidence and a smile. Build her up to it and let her know how much FUN this will be. You want her to keep smiling and enjoying it. If she is not smiling, not having fun, and hating every second, the judges will know and it will be pointless. Let her know she is getting to be Princess for the day. Treat her like royalty. say things like yes your majesty. LOL. It works. If you treat her like a queen, she will act like a queen. And at 2, you know how hard it is to get them to do what you want, so make it something she wants. Please, please, don’t force her. If she has fun, you will have fun, and it will be a great memory.
Oh, and you will have to go on stage with her. Wear a casual dress suit. Take tape and put x es on your floor and show her to stand on them so that you won’t have to hold her hand on stage. You want to get her so you can tell her ok, go to the next one. If her dad’s around, judges love it when the dad’s go up with them. If he does, put him in khakis and a dress shirt.
