A Warm and Fuzzy Farkle Tale: An MLM Business Success Story

It has dawned on me lately that I can see a lot of my MLM business successes I could possibly owe to the game Farkle. I found Farkle in the summer of “09. I played while surfing facebook and got hooked. I had to have the high score each week or my week was a waste.

I spent countless hours playing the game. If you are not familiar with the game, it is played with dice. You get to keep rolling as long as you score. You can stop a roll and keep the points or you can take the risk with another roll. Remember, every time you score, those dice are not included in the next roll.

I love Farkle. There I said it. Now, I do not play as much as I would like, and we tend to play more as a family, but I love Farkle.  However, we play as a family, and Farkle has taught my middle daughter math with large numbers. Much like anything else she doesn’t understand, the youngest plays, sometimes takes our advice, but usually takes the risk and gambles. We point out a Farkle, which is what you get if you roll and don’t score, she yells, “Farkle!” And she laughs. You see, we just enjoy our time together, and while working to build a successful MLM business, you can learn much from a game like Farkle.

Anyway, I look back at that Farkle summer and Like my MLM business, I sometimes kept the score I had and most likely, I gambled and took the risk. My desires hinged on having my picture beam back at me from my computer screen from the number one position in the daily Farkle rankings. Come Sunday just before midnight Central time, I had to be the top guy for the week. Too many Sundays were drowned in disappointment as I lost sight of my weekly goal, and sat helplessly in second or third place. I stayed too many times this week, I reflected. I should have taken the risk. Oh, missed it again. Well, I took too many risks. Next week, I will pay more attention to my score.

I kept running my MLM business like I did my Farkle games. Sometimes I would stay and sometimes I would gamble. I didn’t always make my goals, but I kept playing. I also lost sight of what was important while playing the Farkle games that summer. It’s just a game, have fun. Having a successful MLM business is not a game, but there are things you have to do and pay attention to, if you want to make some money. But most of all, I find having a MLM business to be much fun, and I want to keep it that way. No matter what aspect of the business I am currently working, I still have fun while doing it. It is damn frustrating, but I learn from my failures and strive to be a little better each day and week.

I have fun meeting new people, and following them online while working my MLM business. I have fun helping someone focus and I get excited when they follow their plan. I spend my days helping students realize they do understand grammar and Romeo and Juliet, and I spend my nights helping the big kids realize they can make money and have a successful MLM business. So far, I have the best of both worlds. I learned a lot from Farkle, I learned how to deal with constant disappointment. Oh, and I continue to have fun because I finally figured out the whole keyword research thing and I am ready to share my secrets. Oh well, I geuss that can come at another time! I learned how and when to take the risks, but most of all, I learned how to keep playing and have fun. I guess if it stopped being fun and felt like work, I might as well keep working my day job and forget about having a successful MLM business.
