Cassidy Arrested On Driving While Impaired Allegations

Previous star of “The Partridge Family,” David Cassidy, was most recently imprisoned for driving drunk. He had a field sobriety test and breath assessments conducted by the FL Highway Patrol. He had nearly twice the legal limit in blood alcohol level tests. He promises to battle the allegations and states he is not guilty. Drunk driving gets David Cassidy

David Cassidy, known as teen idol and previous “The Partridge Family” TV series star had been arrested. The cop pulling him over though he may have been driving under the influence. That’s why he got pulled over. CBS reports that he was supposedly swerving via lanes causing the FL Highway Patrol officer to pull him over. He took a field sobriety test, which he failed. He had to take two Breathalyzer tests also. 0.139 and 0.141 were the blood alcohol he had as outlined by the tests. The officer on the DUI case searched David Cassidy’s Mercedes. A half empty bottle of bourbon had been found. He can’t be compared to Paris Hilton by any means. Of course, the evidence doesn’t look good for Cassidy either.

Cassidy had a glass of wine only

Cassidy maintains he was attending a funeral and had a single glass of wine with his midday meal. He said that after that he took some hydrocodone though. When arrested Wednesday evening, Cassidy said the glass of wine for lunch was the only alcohol he had that day. He posted $350 bail, and had been released early on Nov. 4. After being Keith Partridge in “The Partridge Family” series, Cassidy had been a teen pop star well known. It seems numerous child stars have had drinking issues in the past. In fact, Danny Bonaduce had problems as the “Partridge Family” co-star.

Court case ahead

The representatives of David Cassidy say he will fight the charges. Numerous child stars have substance abuse issues. If convicted, he would not be the first.
