How do people decorate for Christmas in Australia?

I live in a warm climate (in USA) so the snowy references and winter clothes don’t apply to me as much as others. A cold day is 55 degrees.

It hits a century outside and this is what we do:

1. Plastic Christmas trees and plastic holly on the front door is standard fare.
2. Shops will have frosting from a can on all their windows and fake old english “leadlight” windows painted on (Charles dickens style).
3. Most major cities will have competitions to see who can make the most festive street or front yard. Lots of reindeer and Santas stuck down fake chimneys and other Christmas themed items littering the garden. Expect lots of city councils lighting up trees in public spaces with Christmas lighting and effects.
4. Because its the middle of summer and a complete fire ban is usually in full effect by then, we avoid toasting anything if we can help it. It’s already too hot. Seafood dinners are the favourite way to go. Although the great Aussie barbecue is also traditional. Some people will spend most of the day down at the beach.
5. City department stores will try and outdo each other with amazing Christmas themed displays for kids in their street level windows. The David Jones store in the centre in Sydney is especially famous for this (people will visit there Christmas eve purely for the displays).
6. Some of the Christmas cards you can send depict Santa sunning it up on the beach (in 1920s style red swimmers). A lot of visual gags can be seen with irony of celebrating a cold climate festival in a hot country.
7. The local firefighters will also tour their local town with a “Santa” on the top of their truck throwing out sweets to the kids as they pass by. (usually on Christmas Eve).
