The Big Windup Anime series?

I never heard this seires was from Funimation. Is it good? I heard that their is a 2nd season and that it’s did not get licenese by Funimation cause the sales were bad in Us. But the sales went high in Japan. Should I buy it?

Big Windup! is a really good series. I’m not a big sports fan, but even though the story revolves around sports it’s still easy to get into. Cause you get really involved with the characters and end up rooting for them. It’s also got really good animation and good music.
Sales in Japan were good because it’s a good series and in Japan they are used to having all the different types of genres in anime. But in America, most anime fans are looking for some crazy adventure/fantasy type of story, rather than sports. Also Funimation didn’t advertise it very much for it (I’d never heard of it until I accidently found the opening on youtube, and I ALWAYS hear about funimation’s series).
That’s why, I think, that it didn’t sell big outside of Japan. But really it’s a very good series!
