Say that I have blue eyes and my husband has brown…what are the odds our kids will have blue eyes?

I have blue eyes as does both my mom and dad. My husband has brown eyes as does his mom and dad. What are the chances our kids will have blue eyes? Just curious.
Oh, sorry…his dad actually has blue eyes. I forgot.

It’s actually quite impossible to tell perfectly. Since his father and mother both have brown eyes, there is a very high probability that he has a blue-eye gene.

He has: at least 1 brown and allele, and PROBABLY another brown allele.

For your baby to have blue eyes, he HAS to have a blue allele, which would be passed with a 1/2 chance.

So the probability of them having blue eyes is either half or zero, but will probably be 0.
