Clean an old cast iron bath tub?

A friend of mine tried to whiten the porcelain of an old cast iron bath tub. She poured bleach into the tub and where the bleach splashed onto the sides it turned to an orange color, but only where the bleach splashed onto the sides of the tub but the bottom of the tub remained okay, and she said she can’t get the sides which the bleach splashed onto back to white. She would like to know what to use to get rid of the orange that the bleach caused.
