Old Dime

I’ve come to possess a bunch of old money, what to do with it ?
I’ve recently come to possess
- twelve $2 bills
- fifty wheat reef pennies (the old pennies that just say “one cent” on the back)
- a few old dimes from before the silver act (dimes that don’t have copper in them)
and other money of the sort.
What should I do with it ?
I heard there are people who buy things like this, but where do I take it (suggestions aside from ebay and things like that) ?
Thanks for help.
When it comes to coins as well as stamps a pawn shop is the last place to go. In fact it is the last place to go with most anything old. Unless the $2 bills are series 1928 or the 1953 series they have little value as of yet. They are worth putting away for a few years. The wheat cents from the 1940′s through to 1958 have little value. They sell sell for .05 or so. The 1955 double die is an exception. Your best bet is have a coin dealer look at them. You can pick up a copy of Coins or Coinage magazine for they have price guides for most U.S. coins just to see if you have any thing of value. they are retail prices but will alert you if a coin you have is rare or scarce.
