Blood bubble forming in mouth after wisdom tooth removal?

My boyfriend had all four of his impacted wisdom teeth removed three days ago. Today (after he finished eating tortilla soup) a bunch of quagulated blood started forming and pushing forward from where he was operated on, forward. After a couple hours of swishing some water around it eventually went away so we thought nothing too much of it. It just happened again, except now a blood bubble has formed. He popped it and has since gargled with hot water and is using gauze to stop the bleeding.

Your boyfriend should rest (physical activity increases blood preassure, the lower blood pressure is the less it will bleed)
Put some ice on the place where it is happening (if it hurts use something as cold as possible).
Ice is a vasoconstrictor, it will also help slowing down the bleeding
