Pistol Holster

In Texas can a person carry a pistol in a holster on the belt of his pants?

Also what about a shotgun?

You need a gun license to carry a weapon. All they do is require you to go to a 1 day class and then 3-6 months of background check, then register the gun and thats it. I don’t know about the shotgun but a pistol yes. I live in Houston and I did this to carry a gun, the class is alright, the waiting period is forever though.
