What Is Animal Portraiture?

One is prone to risks when they give someone a gift. Usually knowing if the receiver liked the gift takes some time. There would be more suspense on the waiting period if the president was the recipient. After working with various animals such as horses, cats, dogs, a goat, parakeets and guinea pigs, she claims they all have a special place with her. Using all her imagination and creative she makes sure that each animal is drawn in such a way that each portrait will become successful.  Having written the president’s wife for a copy of a photo of Little Man, she had this idea for a few months now. It was not long until a reply came from the Special Assistant to the President and Director of Correspondence accompanied by a few publicity photographs of the president and the horse. With the mailed photos, her normal process was somehow disrupted. The fact that a photo might sometimes lie, she needed to visit the animal so that she could make notes on those things that a picture might not get. After this, she now wishes the president will express more gratitude and appreciation for the work she has done. The incident was not about to stop her from finishing what she had started so as she began work, she divided it into four stages. Using a pastel, she made lines that marked where the dark, medium and light shadow tones were. Adding the color was next and in order to blend it in well, she needed to use her fingertips.  The next stage was to add the bland background and Little Man got a light blue one. Finally, you want to make the painting real according to the artist. She wanted to capture the authenticity of the portrait hence she spends many a nights doing this.  She made the portrait of Little Man out of her own goodness. She is actually also fond of horses and owns and keeps one in Poolesville. At the same time she owns a cat, a dog and a goat She says she is proud to have done the portrait for the president, and expresses the sentiments of gift givers everywhere.
