How can you make a polka dot cake?

Okay so i am making a cake for my best friends birthday which is coming up in four days. i want to make it special for her, so i want it to be black and white polka dots (her favorite). but i don’t know how to make black circles that wont look bad. i am not some crazy insane cake decorator, so idk how to make very pretty designs. but i want it to look good. does anyone know any ways that i could make black dots for a polka dot cake?

you can make the cake like a regular can but put bettercream frosting light layer and this stuff they call fondant. u can get it in colors at a cake shop but u can also get it a in smaller package like you need in white and color it ur self with food coloring but if u want to cover whole cake u mat need to go to supply store
