Why has the northern Rock share price dropped today?
Any ideas?
Will there be a take over bid? How does that benafit me financially?
The share price is an indication of how much confidence the investment community has in an institution.
Although the NR is solvent, investors think it will be a while before they see any appreciable rise in share price, or any dividends from it.
as it is, NR is ripe for a take over bid. This could send share prices rocketing if a stable financial institution were to make such a bid….. however, in the current climate, ALL financial bodies are feeling the squeeze and it is unlikely a take over bid would be launched
