Prism Designs
How do digital camera sensors work?

If camera sensors only have receptors for red, green, and blue, then how do they pick up colors like yellow and orange? Especially in a 3 chip design with a prism that separates the incoming light into red green and blue, what happens to the yellow and orange, how is it picked up?

In case you didn’t know, your eyes have only three color receptors and *you* see all colors! Neat, huh?
