Need help On an Old Marx Toy?
Hello, I have a very old rare Early Marx toy , perhaps someone may know what toy im speaking of but its Called “Spic and Span, The Hams What am” Its the Version with Black Drummer and Fiddler. The Fiddles seems to not move and i am trying to find someone that knows how to fix old toys and a person i can trust that actually does it as a business that i am certain they will not run off with it. So does any one know of any places to fix old toys. Thanks
Since it’s a clock work toy, have you tried a Clock repair shop? More than likely the spring has lost it’s tension and needs to be replaced. While they are checking the spring they might also oil the mechanism and check the gears. It will be expensive but in the long run you will appreciate it. Most clock smiths sign their work. It’s a personal guarantee that has been handed down got the past 100 years.
