How hard is it to get homeowner’s insurance if you have a trampoline?

I have heard it is really quite hard to get homeowner’s insurance with a trampoline. Does it help any if you have a safety enclosure?

Damn hard. It doesn’t help if it has a safety enclosure.

It’s a question on the standard application – do you have any trampolines or skateboard ramps – and if you answer yes, I don’t know of ANY insurance companies that will take you. Anyone who says they’ve never been asked, didn’t read the application before signing it.

Insurance companies pay out more, on an annual basis, for trampoline injuries, than they do for dog bites.
