Shark Bite

When a shark attacks a person, why do they just lop/bite off an arm or leg?

Why don’t they continue feeding and eat the entire body? When they feed on seals, they don’t take a bite and leave, they eat the whole thing (saw it on TV Discovery channel or Nat Geo). I think it’s because we don’t taste “fishy” enough. Does anyone know the answer for sure?

they like the fat on the seals. most sharks only “taste” first and then feed.
so they attack what they think is a seal. realize that it is not fatty enough. and then leave.
