How can I find an e-mail address for a soldier in Iraq?

I know a soldier who is in Iraq and I can’t find a way to contact him besides mailing letters that take forever to recieve. Can someone help me figure out a quicker and easier way to communicate with him, please.

All soldiers are given AKO (Army knowledge online) accounts in which their e-mail is usually their name @us.army.mil in this order:

firstname.lastname@us.army.mil

Try to contact him using this e-mail address and see if it works. I hope this helps out.
