Space Gun

Would I be able to shoot a gun in the vacuum of space and how fast would the bullet travel in Zero Gravity?

Say I was a Typical hand gun or just the name model gun you would use. Also would the gun still work since there is no oxygen to ignite the Gun Powder?

The gun will travel at the same speed as it does on Earth. Except that it will not slow down. The gun doesn’t need air because the gun powder has fuel and oxygen mixed already … that’s why it explodes and not just burn.
