What size gauge is a standard nose piercing?

I got my nostril pierced and have a standard sized L-bar stud, but what gauge is that?

The standard size is 18G, usually there are 20G (smaller) jewellry that are more popular and sold in stores for the nose piercing which is still ok since it can fit in a 18G hole. A piercer can also pierce the nose w/ a 20G if asked to also.
