How do you tighten the steering wheel of a truck?

Ok so about 3 months ago I bought a 1994 chevy s10. The steering is off. The steering wheel is loose so it takes a bigger spin to make the truck turn. Is there a way to tighten the steering wheel or do I have to take it into the shop and let the experts do it??
