Help Planning a Super Mario Party For Your Child’s Birthday

Super Mario parties are based on the ever popular Super Mario Bros video game. The video game depicts Mario and Luigi on their quest to save the Princess, Princess Peach. To host a great Super Mario Party you need to have decorations, party favors, games and a cake. These are the essentials necessary for any great party and are definitely needed for a Mario party.

The decorations can be as simple or complex as you make them. If your child’s favorite character is Mario then the colors of choice are red, yellow and blue whereas if he’s a Luigi fan then throwing some Green in the mix will be important as well. To really kick the decorations up a notch you can buy card-board cut-outs of the Super Mario characters which the kids can play and take pictures.

Another important consideration, if not the most important, is the cake. Often the cake depicts the entire theme and brings the party together. A good Mario cake has a few options which include using a Cake Pan mold to create Super Mario. The other options are buying cake image or cupcake image toppers which are placed directly on the icing of the cake. The images are pictures of all the characters of the video game. These cake toppers are great as they provide a good theme while not requiring too much extra work.

As any parent will tell you planning a party can be a lot of work. However, it doesn’t have to be if you prepare correctly. It is important to take a few things into consideration. First, prepare as much as possible before the party. This includes the food, gift bags, games, schedule, etc.. The next thing to realize is the fact that not everything will go right. Ideally everything will go down perfectly but you’re dealing with 5-20 kids who are all super excited about the party. The chances that something goes slightly wrong is quite high and you should try not to worry when too much when something does go wrong. It is important to enjoy your Super Mario Party as much as the kids!
