Tin Noise

My 98 firebird is making a loud clinking noise ?

I think the noise is coming from the motor not sure tho it kinda sounds like marbles in a tin can anyone have any ideas

you may want to open the hood while its running and listen to the front of the engine, this could be a possible bearing problem, or even a serpintine belt tensioner going bad, its hard to tell sometimes, a four foot length of hose you can put one end on the top of the alternator and listen, if the bearing is quet it will humm if it is going bad it will rattle , does it do it all the time? or just at specific times?
