Why is the Mobile Phone a Useful tool?
The Mobile Phone’s primary usage is it’s most useful. This is calling. Calling from and to mobile phones is much easier and better for emergencies than Landlines, and, of course, much better than not having the facilities at all to contact people. This is very useful in emergencies, for example, when you want to call 999 (the emergency services) and notifying people of important information. They are also useful for keeping in touch with family members and safety reasons, and they are portable, so easier to use than Landlines. Mobile Phones can also have other useful features, such as GPS navigation, personal organiser, alarms, radio, and internet.

Why is the Mobile Phone a Useless toy?
Mobile Phones are beginning to have games on them. This is a useless facility and a distraction.
Proof that Mobile Phones are not needed is this – we managed quite well without them before! Also, there is still research carried out to find out if Mobile Phones damage our brains.
A study by Motorola found that one in ten cell phone subscribers have a second phone that often is kept secret from other family members. These phones are used to engage in activities including extramarital affairs or clandestine business dealings.
