Top Tips on How Décor and Door Protection Can Give Your Office a Boost

Visitors and business rivals can tell a lot from the presentation of your office. An air of sophistication is important in the way you present your office. This is why the furniture you choice and the décor you decide on are very important. Including everything from décor to door protection, here are my top tips for revamping your office.

{The Welcome}
If you have a visitor, they will be judging your company from the moment they arrive. Your reception area should be welcoming, light and bright. Waiting areas should be easy to find and comfortable. You could provide either sofas or chairs, but be sure no to opt for anything overly comfortable or slouchy. You don’t want your reception area to look like someone’s lounge.

{The Décor}
Keep it simple. Don’t opt to paint entire areas bright or overbearing colours. Equally, though, too plain is not good. Corporate colours or bright colours are fine, but are perhaps best kept to feature walls or artwork.

{The Props}
A few plants will freshen the air and add colour. A bit of greenery also does wonders for staff morale. Consider placing several plants around the office. Just don’t forget to water them. You shouldn’t be afraid to blow your own trumpet a bit. If your company makes a product you’re very proud of, then display it in a cabinet in reception. This personal touch shows visitors what your company is about. You could also consider placing water coolers, neatly organised shelving and industry targeted magazines in reception.

{Tidiness}

They are adults after all. On the other hand, don’t go to the other extreme of banning personal items from staff desks. Your personnel will spend most of their week sitting at their desk, so should be entitled to make it their own. Besides, visitors like to see your personnel as individuals rather than drones.

{The Maintenance}
You should invest in the right protection for your office. Otherwise you will periodically be forced to reinvest money on repairing cracks and chips to paintwork. There is no sense in following these tips to revamp your office if you don’t bother to protect your hard work. There’s a whole range of trims to protect walls and doors, and they’re a great investment. Most office managers don’t think about it until it’s too late, but delivery boxes, people traffic and tea trolleys scratch and scrape doors and walls everyday. Simple wall and door protection will eliminate this risk.
