Wood Blocks

Where can i find 2x2x2 basic wood blocks? Not the toys for babies?

I need some wooden blocks for an art project. Is there a place where i can buy them, or somewhere i can go to get a strip of wood that’s 2cm wide and 2 cm tall? And also, could someone tell me if these would be to small to put a hole through?

my first thought is a hardware store where they sell all kinds of lumber. you can get them to cut it for you or get one of those little japanese saws and do them yourself. Be sure also to get the sandpaper to smooth off the corners and rough edges. Some drill bits are small enough to use for making holes in your little square beads.

I have a mini vice that I have used for such things and near microscopic drill bits. It takes a bit of work to do them.
