Wood Swing

Wood Swing
Can you put one of those big wood swing sets in a yard with a slight slope?

So, my son is turning 3 in a few weeks and we are buying him this…

Our backyard has a slight slope. Do you think this will be a problem? Anyone else have one similar? All input is appreciated!

It has to be VERY level or it will not be safe, the tower and the top swing board have to be completely level or it weakens the support for the swings. If it’s not level the legs of the swing end will be popping up when the kids swing on it as well, even with anchors as it will “teeter”. The “monkey bars” part of it probably wouldn’t be so much of an issue if that was level with the rest of it as there is not so much force swaying it back and forth. If I were you I would spend the extra money and have some treated wood and sand put down to level the area just to make it safe. We have a similar set that we purchased at Menards about 2 years ago for about $800 so that seems like a good price if it is good quality. My parents put one up at their house for my kids and the tarp top only made it one year and then they had to replace it with a wooden roof so keep that in mind. That is a great gift idea, my kids love ours!
